WELCOME TO THE
PERTHSHIRE ABANDONED DOGS SOCIETY!

We have helped thousands of abandoned animals find loving homes over the years and are proud to support Perthshire's homeless dogs. We are all hoping for the day where every dog will have a home and every home a dog!

Meet PADS caring staff and some of their best friends

On average, PADS Dog Rescue near Perth takes in 300 dogs annually, from police, dog wardens and members of the public who can no longer look after them. People often have to give up their dogs due to relationship breakdown, illness or hospitalisation. About a third of the dogs arriving at the dog rescue centre have been lost and are re-claimed by their rightful owners.

All stray dogs are immunised on admission to the rescue centre. All dogs are neutered before being allowed to go to their new homes. In recent years a little ‘cottage hospital’ block was completed after a successful appeal for funds. This now means that sick animals requiring nursing and peace and quiet away from the hubbub of normal kennel life can recover in peace. The hospital also has an examination table for the vet, and ‘mother and baby’ unit for new mums and their pups.

The cost of running PADS rescue centre now tops £80,000 per year. All this comes from donations, legacies and fundraising efforts.

Visitors to the rescue centre are always welcome

We are open Mon - Fri from 1pm to 3pm or weekends from 1pm - 3.30pm
